Lekhni has tagged me to do the “what I am reading now” tag that has been going around. She was reading ‘The Light Fantastic” by Terry Pratchett which reminds me to get going and read more books of his. That is the only book of his I have read so far and I loved that one, I wish someone would give a post on Rincewind and his portrayal as against the heroes of other fantasy series.
Ok, now for the tag.
(I know it has been a few days since the tag, but the same excuse again – work).
The rules to be followed here are:
1) Pick up the nearest book
2) Open to page 123
3) Find the fifth sentence
4) Post the next three sentences
5) Tag five people, and acknowledge the person who tagged you.
Everyone knows I am reading Sandman now and it should be no surprise that I have that book the closest to me.
Page 123 falls under “The Season of Mists” volume in Sandman (Absolute Vol. 2) and the story is of Charles Rowland and the school of the dead.
It is a theme that has been a nightmare at times for me, waking up to find that I am the only one in a school for the dead.
The lines from six to eight on the page are:
“Wake the bug up, cheesy.”
“What’s your pathetic name, bug?”
“Ow!”
The common bullying scene from any school with a small difference – these are the dead bullies targetting the live boy.
Now for the people to tag ( a tough call since most seem to have done this)
1) NRSL
2) Rambler
3) Suraksha
4) Rebecca
5) Sagaro
Go forth and taint the living!

Thanks for tagging. But I very unfortunately never do tags as a policy.

Write a post on Rincewind? That sounds like a great idea. Maybe I will do it!
