Remember the theatre company that gave us so much fun a long time back, say about two years ago.
Well, for those who have not yet heard the news, Evam is back in Chennai with a play titled -
“Doubles, Triples and Quadruples – Nobody stays single”.
Now the cast does have some of my favourite actors from Evam in it, such as Karthik Kumar, which means we are in for a loud laugh at times and guffaws at others.
The description of the play that Evam puts across is
“It’s a full bodied wine, slightly acetic with a mild childishly sweet aftertaste, which goes down easy and warm. A hint of wild berries and lemon, and yet a whiff of spice.
Overall Ripe, Indulgent and its time has come…”
The play is on at the Chimaya Heritage Centre, Chetpet on 19th and 20th July and tickets can be booked at Landmark and at www.evam.in and www.bookmyshow.com
Now the play promises love, laughter, music, fun and even a few tears – in short a look at life in a fun way. With a cast of six actors and the promise of an intriguing evening that will be enacted to the audience, the well-loved company is back in town after a longish break, but the wait may be well worth it.
Now, we have an evening of drama, music, laughter and love to look forward to this weekend, so if anyone is planning to catch this (I for one am going to try and catch them on Saturday evening), do make sure to book your tickets well in advance, they tend to sell like hot-cakes.
