Old King Cole

I love Old King Cole because that is one rhyme which can be re-written in so many different ways, such as the one below:

Old King Cole

Old King Cole was a bawdy old soul

And a bawdy old soul was he;

He called for his wife and she socked him on the jowl

So he called for his mistresses three.

Every mistress had a fine anvil

And a fine anvil had she;

Cling Clang Cling,Cling Clang Cling

Cling Clang Cling, Cling Clang Cling,

Cling Clang Cling, Cling Clang Cling

Went the mistresses three;

Oh, there’s no sight so rare

As can compare

When King Cole was flattened by his mistresses three.
