Jerusalem

And then there was none

Where there once were thriving civilizations

They forgot to be human;

Over a little city

Called the birth-place of two religions

The mighty warriors fought;

Sometimes there would be fires raging

Through both camps;

Sometimes

They would fence

In diplomatic circles

Each blaming the other

For atrocities committed;

Conveniently forgetting

They had betrayed their own people to this;

Ah Jerusalem!

Where you were once the cradle of seers and prophets

Now you are just a ball of fire

Consuming all with the hatred

They have filled you with.

P.S  I know this is my first post in an eternity, but moving to a different country should be a good enough reason…

Love,

S
